Gloop is a fascinating, curious substance that feels like both a liquid and a solid. It can, and probably will, get messy so make sure you and your child have old clothing or aprons on!

Great for moulding and squishing, fine motor skills and language....

Gloop recipe:

2 cups of cornflour

1 cup of water

Food Colouring (optional)

A large container or bowl

Place the cornflour into a large container and, if using, put a few drops of colouring into the centre.  Mix the water into the cornflour and colouring.  It will take some time to mix together.

Sensory play has an important role in development. We are keen on offering activities which have opportunities for sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste as much as possible.

Children who have difficulty with sensory integration can benefit from sensory play but so can all children.
